Discount Links!!

I have some discount offers that are a win-win for anyone who is interested in signing up for these travel opportunities!! Many websites are using referrals to increase their business, and what better way than to have current clients encourage future clients to take advantage of these discount options?!?

House/Pet-sitting:
There are a lot of house/pet-sitting websites where people post ads for house-sits (both domestic and international). Each website has an annual fee (between $29 and $119, depending on which site) but it's definitely worth the investment!! The two websites listed below offer discounts for you (and free months for me!!) by clicking on the links when you are ready to sign up:

This link will give you 25% off Trusted Housesitters. Their fee is the most expensive, but signing up with them is definitely worth it for the sheer number of possibilities! They have ads for pet-sits all over the world. If I had to pick just one to sign up for, it would be this one!!

This link to House Carers will give you an EXTRA 6 MONTHS for the price of 12!! If you're at all interested in traveling and house-sitting in Australia and New Zealand, THIS is most likely where you'll find your next house-sit! The annual fee is only $55 (and with the extra 6 months, it's definitely worth it)!!

Work Exchange:
Most everything I've done thus far is unpaid (except shorter sits that I've done locally), but the trade-off usually includes free housing, sometimes food, and sometimes even a car. Most of the time, all you need is a few hundred a month for groceries and incidentals (and a plane ticket, of course)!!

If you want to live with a family, help at a hostel, hotel or B&B), the most comprehensive website I've found for these opportunities is through WorkAway. They recently began a referral program, so if you would like to sign up, this link will give you a 20% discount on your annual fee: WorkAway. If this link doesn't work properly, use this code when you sign up to receive your discount: D8AB8639

Please feel free to email me at: HolisticCoaching@yahoo.com if you have any questions or problems with any of the links! Im happy to help in any way I can to help you get started on your Journey!!

All My Plans Came Tumbling Down The Stairs in Pisa - but Fortunately Not in the Leaning Tower!! ðŸĪŠðŸ˜‚ðŸĪŠ

Sorry, this post turned out quite long so feel free to skip through and peruse the details!! A few of you have asked for more information, so I thought I’d fill in some details for those inquiring minds who want to know!! Also, I just wanted to let you know my shoulder surgery will be THIS Thursday at 7:30 am (and all prayers and good intentions for healthy outcomes are appreciated)!!  🙏💖🙏 So here we go…. Our (unexpectedly last) day of sightseeing started with an early morning, crowd-free visit to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and it was the most perfect moment of the day!! Little did I know when we left our sweet AirBnb in Viareggio that morning, it would be the last time I would see it (expecting to return that evening)!! It was still a bit cloudy when we first got to Pisa, but we got some great pictures then settled into the cafe right across the street! It was the perfect place to people-watch as many tourists tried to get the same picture (holding up the tower)!! It’s so ...

Washed-Out Roads, Dark Driveways and Scorpions!!

So in my last post I mentioned the scorpions in Guatemala, and I’ve had a couple requests to hear more about that experience!  Those of you who received my emails while I was there a few years ago might remember this, but I thought I’d share it again since it was a “pivotal point” in learning to travel by myself – and taught me that I can survive ANYTHING I encounter in my travels – because I survived THIS!! Well, it was quite an interesting ride from Antigua to Lake Atitlan. What in the past would have taken about 3.5 hours took us almost 5 because of the mudslides and damage done to the roads!! They actually have a highway that runs between Antigua and Lake Atitlan that normally has four lanes, but we had to detour into two-lane roads along the way because the mud, tree trunks, etc. covered miles and miles of highway (due to all the rain they had been getting that fall).  At one point, we drove past a part of the road that had LITERALLY fallen away!! The story was that a...

Goodbye Tarragona and Hello Salou!!

Well, settling into Tarragona did not exactly go as planned, so I am now settling into Salou!! I thought I had everything planned out to the detail, but as always travel loves to throw things my way and see how I deal with them! 🚌 🚕 Part of the reason I had chosen Tarragona is because the train was supposed to go directly there from Barcelona so I figured it would be a nice place to land between cruises!  I was up at 6 AM on the last day of the cruise because they started making announcements that people could depart from the ship and I wanted to get some breakfast (aka coffee!!! ☕️☕️) before they closed at 8:00! I had picked the latest departure time of 9:30 because I figured I didn’t need to rush to get to Tarragona but with multiple delays getting people off the ship, I finally got off around 10:30 (waiting in multiple lines until I finally got to the train station at noon)!!  It was supposed to be a quick and easy hour long train ride to Tarragona, but apparently they ar...
